Competition leaders
This competition was made possible by a great crew. Without their help it would not have been possible. I personally wanted to thank the following individuals:
Dave Buning for sharing his house with us yet again for all our organization and label efforts and letting us take over his beautiful pool and ping pong tables and covering them with all kinds of beer. Dave also offered countless advice on organizing the competition which was much appreciated as were the several hundred scoresheets he printed. I think it also goes without saying, but I also want to thank Sue for putting up with our "Shamrock Shenanagins" all over again too!
Kevin Thorngren for doing an excellent job as a first time registrar. All the labeling went amazingly smooth, and the data organization was top notch. Kevin really put a lot of time into this competition making sure everything was accurate and it showed. Thanks for printing out the flyers to market the competition and also for mailing out all the scoresheets and prizes!
Mike Weiss for sharing his house to hash out some last minute details on flight organization and for printing plenty of scoresheets. Mike did a great job organizing the judges and flights this year and did especially well dealing with the last minute judge drop outs and reconfiguration. Mike also did a great job organizing all the paperwork to make things run smoothly!
Brian Sico for doing an absolutely awesome job as head steward. As far as I could tell, the stewarding was absolutely seamless from an outside view. Thanks as well for all the hours put into developing the website, and the new online registration system. It goes without saying that you did a great job there, and we're happy we'll be able to use the system for years to come! Good job man!
Todd Wenzel for providing us with an excellent assortment of goodies for our raffle. This was the best raffle turnout we've had yet so that clearly demonstrates how efficient Todd was with his duties as raffle director. Thanks as well for storing all the stuff at your house in the time leading up to the competition!
Bill Dubas for helping with pretty much anything he could help with, whether it be labeling, picking up keys, or organizing the beers Bill was always willing to lend a helping hand. Bill, thanks also for contacting lonerider brewery for the lunch keg!
Jimmy Vervaecke for letting us take his printer hostage and literally print forests worth of scoresheets and style guidelines. Without your help we would have been stranded!
Walt Sweeney for helping setup the competition on the day of and helping in every area he could. Big thanks for filing all the scoresheets at the end and loaning your printer so we could print everything the day of. Thanks for all the advice to help make the day run as well as it did!
Mike Dixon for his seemingly infinite knowledge of the BJCP and his selfless dedication to helping new members!
Jim Brewer for convincing me to organize the competition and helping us setup and clean!
Nick and Johnni from the BB&Y cafe for hosting and letting us completely take over the cafe for our competition year after year!
Lonerider for providing the lunch keg, as well as all our other sponsors which made this event more fun!
It goes without saying, but THANK YOU to all the judges and stewards that helped with this competition. You all did a wonderful job, and it absolutely would not have been possible without each and every one of you. I look forward to helping support your clubs in future competitions!
Thanks again everyone!!
